Wilhelm Concrete provides the cone roof system with all of its larger silos as standard, due to the designs many benefits.
Using the geometry of the cone roof, it generally matches the profile of materials when the center point loading system is utilized. There is no need to build extra wall height to get the true storage you need, instead of unused space. Although multiple load points is an option, they cost more from a millwrighting aspect and some proposals lead to material particle segragation within the silo.
The natural design slope on the top guarantees positve water drainage. The system is design for no interior supporting beams, giving you a complete monolithic structure. With no exposed metal, you lessen your maintenance costs down the road.
By placing your venting system up closer to the peak, and not having interior beams hindering air flow, your ventilation system works better.
